TiE Africa takes shape
The vision for bringing the TiE Global network to East Africa began taking shape in 2020, with TiE Nairobi at the centre of the initiative.
TiE Nairobi connects entrepreneurs to global capital, mentors and markets, positioning Nairobi as the gateway to the East African market.
We find the best entrepreneurs in Kenya and across Africa. We give them mentorship, access to global networks, and connections to capital and markets.

A large gathering at Dusit Nairobi in February 2020 brought entrepreneurs and ecosystem leaders together to conceptualize TiE Africa. Photographs from this gathering can be added to this milestone from the Featured Image field.
The initiative developed around a clear objective: connect entrepreneurs to mentors, capital and markets while strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in East Africa.
TiE Nairobi has used conversations, leadership sessions, sector-focused discussions and community events to connect founders, investors, mentors and business leaders. Individual event photographs and links can be added as the history is documented.
TiE Women 2026 received 800+ applications — the highest of any TiE chapter globally that year.
